Compass is a guided app-building experience designed for people who don't code.
You tell Compass what you do. It suggests what you could build. Every question comes with tappable options so you never have to guess what to type. And before any code is generated, you see a visual preview of what your app will look like.
The user never sees code. Everything happens through conversation, with visual checkpoints along the way.
Every vibe coding platform opens with the same screen: a blank text box and “What do you want to build?”
That question assumes you already know what's possible, have a clear idea, and can describe it in terms the AI can work with. Most people can't do all three. Not because they lack ability, but because nobody designed the first five minutes for them.
Compass is a prototype exploring what happens when you flip that script. Start with who someone is, not what they want to build. Offer suggestions instead of blank prompts. Show before you build. These aren't new AI capabilities. They're design choices that the platforms haven't made yet.
Compass currently walks you through the early stages of building an app: choosing a starting point based on your role, exploring tailored ideas, and shaping your concept through guided conversation. You'll see a visual preview of what your app could look like before any code is written.
This is a concept prototype. The full build, refine, and ship stages aren't active yet, but the experience demonstrates how the first five minutes of vibe coding could work for everyone.
Compass was built by Faisal Shariff using Claude Code over a weekend.
Faisal is an AI Product Manager and founder of Atomic Theory Consulting. He's built over 25 apps since 2025 across Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, and Claude Code, without writing a single line of code. He's not a developer. He's a product manager who believes the next wave of software builders won't come from bootcamps. They'll come from people who never thought of themselves as builders at all.
